Andrew has been working with hedge funds since 1986 and is a founder and Managing Director of FletcherBennett Group. Prior to forming FletcherBennett, Andrew was Director of Business Development at Satellite Asset Management, LP, a large multi-strategy hedge fund based in New York City. In this role Andrew worked directly with the founders on all aspects of business development, including new business initiatives, hiring of portfolio managers and support personnel, human resources, sales and investor relations, office management and Wall Street brokerage relations. Andrew was a member of the seven-person Operating Committee that oversaw the day-to-day management and governance of the firm.
Prior to joining Satellite, Andrew held a variety of roles at UBS Investment Bank, most recently as Managing Director & Global Head of Capital Introduction. In this capacity he was responsible for all aspects of capital introduction, including overall strategy for the group, hiring, fund and investor coverage, forums and conferences, and managing a globally-located 28 person team. Andrew was a member of the Prime Brokerage Board, responsible for the day-to-day governance of the prime brokerage business and a member of the Americas Equities Board, which manages delivery of the equities business in the Americas. Prior positions were US Head of Equity Swap Sales and Multi-Strategy Fund PB Sales, US Head of Prime Brokerage Sales and US Head of Institutional Equity Derivative Sales. Prior to UBS Andrew held a variety of derivatives sales roles in New York and London at Nomura Securities (International) Inc., BZW Securities, James Capel Ltd. and Discount Corp. of New York. Andrew holds BA (Honors) in Business Finance from City of London Polytechnic (now known as London Metropolitan University).
